A passenger jet from Istanbul declared a mid-air emergency as it came in to land at Edinburgh Airport. ‌

Turkish Airlines flight TK1345 touched down in the capital just before 4pm on Friday, August 8, after issuing a 7700 code - the universal signal for a general emergency. ‌

According to flight tracking website FlightRadar24, the aircraft declared the emergency during its descent into Edinburgh , just above Midlothian. ‌
