SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The History Museum will honor legendary Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne with a new exhibit, “Rockne: Life & Legacy,” running Aug. 23, 2025, through May 31, 2026, in its Changing Gallery.

The exhibit marks the centennial of Rockne’s first national championship win. On Jan. 1, 1925, Rockne’s Fighting Irish defeated Stanford 27-10 in the Rose Bowl, securing Notre Dame’s place in football history. That victory capped the team’s 1924 season and set the program on a celebrated path to 11 national titles.

The exhibit will feature the largest collection of Rockne artifacts ever assembled for public viewing. Visitors will see items that highlight his impact on Notre Dame, college football, and sports culture nationwide.
