Ronnie McDowell is one tough dude, and if you don’t believe it, all you have to do is look at what he has done across two weeks.

McDowell recently underwent a surgery to clear plaque from arteries in his neck, a procedure he discovered he needed after suffering a stroke during a June show in Pennsylvania. And, on Saturday, just days after the procedure, the 75-year-old was on a stage in Alabama performing again.

His son, Ronnie McDowell Jr., shared a photo of his father onstage in front of the crowd in Russellville to Facebook, and wrote: “Thank you Alabama for an Amazing Night and Thank You for giving my Dad such an Awesome Welcome back to the stage after his surgery…”

McDowell underwent the surgery on July 22. He posted a video last week of himself out walking.
