TIKTOK is working against the clock to find a solution for its impending US ban.

The Chinese-based app is reportedly building an American version for users with an expected launch date set for 2025.

President Donald Trump has pushed for the sale of the app to a US buyer but so far, no deals have been made.

The American version of the app is set to launch in September, according to The Information.

TikTok faces an imminent ban from the United States as its shutdown date has been pushed back multiple times by the president in an attempt to reach an agreement.

The news of a new version broke as Trump claimed that he plans to talk to China about a possible solution for the video app.

"We pretty much have a deal," the president said on Friday. "We're gonna start Monday or Tuesday.
