The Syracuse Fire Department has had a long-standing relationship with the city’s Minor League Baseball team, taking on the important job of overseeing many fireworks shows at the ballpark. "We've never secured a fireworks permit in our life," he said. "That's secured by the pyrotechnic company. They're like, 'Yeah, it's 25 bucks,' and we said 'Hey, that's great.'"
