OCEAN CITY — No one was injured following a structure fire at a residence late Friday night, city officials said.
At around 10:49 p.m., police and the fire department reported to a fire at 104 Atlantic Avenue. Upon arrival, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the second floor in the rear of the residence.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the building before it was placed under control and extinguished. All occupants were safely out of the building, officials said.
Mutual aid assistance was provided by Marmora, Strathmere and Somers Point volunteer fire companies and Upper Township Rescue.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
