Sudbury youth are coming together to confront climate anxiety and channel it into meaningful change at the Youth Climate Action Night, taking place Thursday, Aug. 14.

The event goes from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Peter’s United Church, 203 York St.

Organized by Kaleo Duncanson-Hales, youth climate motivator with the United Church of Canada’s Climate Motivator Program, the event aims to empower young people to turn fear and uncertainty about the climate crisis into personal and collective action.

“This is about acknowledging the anxiety many youth feel and transforming it into something powerful,” said a release promoting the event. “We want to give young people the tools and community support they need to take action.”
