WATERLOO, Neb. (WOWT) - Rescue personnel were called to extricate two people after a large tree fell on their vehicle during Saturday morning’s storm.

Authorities have confirmed that two people, a man and a woman, were in the vehicle, one of them pinned. They said the extrication process was “very difficult,” taking about 90 minutes. Both were critically injured.

The two had moved from their camping tent into their vehicle as the storm was coming in, authorities told First Alert 6.
