With the International Plowing Match returning to Lambton in 2027 , organizers behind Lambton’s annual qualifiers are hoping more turn out to this year’s local competition.
“In order to plow internationally you do have to get points to qualify, so we’re hoping to see some new faces,” said Kathi McNeil with the Lambton Plowmen’s Association.

People who’ve taken time off from competitive plowing and want to take part when the international competition is held in Brigden in two years, might want to take the opportunity to sharpen their skills at this year’s Aug. 30 Lambton County Plowing Match, she said.
“We’re hoping it will spike some interest and get some new people out,” she said.
