The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says a man has been arrested after a fight and a “possible” assault with a weapon Friday evening.

Officers were called to an apartment building on 137th Street near 96th Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. after a report of a fight.

“The Surrey Police Service got a call, two women fighting in a hallway of a common area of the apartment, and then a third individual, a male, came and started fighting as well, and reportedly had some type of weapon,” Staff Sergeant Lindsey Houghton told 1130 NewsRadio.

“Police arrived, located the two females, and located the male not far away from the apartment building.”

He says it appears all three people knew each other, and injuries were minor.

“Some cuts and scrapes as one would expect from a bit of a fist fight,” he said.
