The city of Blair is under a state of emergency after the storm that moved through the metro area Saturday morning. Non-Blair residents and non-local employees are requested to avoid Blair until Monday.

Jake Dunn, public safety and communications coordinator, for the city says multiple people were seriously injured in the storm. Dunn said 4-5 people were trapped in RVs due to trees falling on them at River View Park Resort & Marina.

Dunn said the Dollar General store in town also has significant damage, but no one was injured. The building has a 60x60 hole and another 30x30 hole, according to Dunn.
