All the hullabaloo over climate change strikes me as drastic paranoia about destruction of planet Earth. Especially those parties who unwittingly spread that fear and paranoia by predicting our demise in 8 to 12 years.

The other side is not much better, kicking the can down the road indefinitely when there is a pressing need to deal with the problem fairly soon.

Bruce Lee said “fear is the mind killer” and that’s true but my favorite hymn says “’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved.” In other words, we need to both not fear imaginary threats and have the humility to admit when a problem does indeed exist. Kicking the climate change can down the road is fine, for a little while, but we must fully intend to deal with climate change in the near futur
