The quarterback addressed recent comments from several analysts suggesting that Cleveland’s coaching staff was putting him in a position to fail due to the limited reps he had received in training camp.

“I think overall in life, I don’t want anybody to make excuses. It’s two ways you can look at it. You can look at it and be thankful and take full advantage of the opportunity, or you can look at it like, dang, this is what I’ve been asking for and I’m not prepared. So, I’ll say I’ve been able to sleep good at night knowing I was playing. I just prepared as normal.”
