DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —

The overnight storms knocked out power to tens of thousands in the metro.

Omaha Public Power District said an unusually wet summer caused many trees to uproot and fall into power lines.

A woman was killed, and a man was hurt at Two Rivers State Park after a tree fell on their vehicle.

KETV reporter Pete Cuddihy has been in Valley for most of the day.

Neighbors told him the park was just fixed up recently, but most wouldn't realize that with how the storm damaged the area.

There are branches everywhere, trash cans knocked over, and even damage to the pickleball court. But the park wasn't the only part of town that was affected.

Most neighbors in Valley are still without power as of 6 p.m. Saturday.
