Law enforcement is on the hunt for a man who eluded Surrey police patrols after allegedly holding up a bank in the 13700 block of George Junction on Friday.
Around 9:45 a.m., there were reports of a robbery after a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen crossing Whalley Boulevard at Fraser Highway.
Despite SPS officers’ response, the suspect was not found. He’s described as a heavy-set Indigenous man with a short beard, wearing a grey hoodie, white pants, black shoes and sunglasses.
