Executive's kids quit to protest dad's firing by Market Basket

The daughter and son of fired Market Basket executive Joe Schmidt resigned from the company last week.

Julia Schmidt, 20, a five-year bakery department employee, and Jacob, 16, a bagger for the past year, gave the manager at Store 39 in Nashua, New Hampshire, a resignation letter for the company’s board of directors.
