LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police says a man is in the hospital after a shooting near the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.

According to LMPD, officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 6800 block of Currington Circle at around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, August 9.

At the scene, officers found a man outside with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers at the scene rendered first aid to the victim until EMS arrived and transported him to UofL Hospital, where it is expected that he will survive.

Detectives are still investigating to uncover what led to the shooting and what the possible motive could be.

There are currently no known suspects.
