Police in Peel Region are turning to the public to help locate a 36-year-old Toronto man wanted for attempted murder and firearm offences.

And investigators with Peel Regional Police’s Intimate Partner Violence Unit say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said Piratheepan Nagarajah is wanted for two counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and possession of a firearm.

“Police are encouraging the wanted party to consult with their lawyer and surrender to police at their local police station as soon as possible,” cops said in statement Saturday evening.
