The Indianapolis Colts received promising news on Saturday as quarterback Anthony Richardson returned to practice just two days after dislocating a finger in Indianapolis’ preseason opener.
Richardson, 23, played six snaps before being sacked and injured in the first quarter of an eventual 24-16 loss at the Baltimore Ravens. The third-year pro dislocated his pinkie finger on the play and did not return to the game. He completed 2 of 3 passes for 21 yards.
X-rays did not reveal any additional extensive damage to the finger, as reported by The Athletic. Richardson made his practice return on Saturday with tape on his pinkie, although he was still able to grip and throw the football in individual and team drills.
