Nature lovers, hikers and the public at large are invited to a special presentation about the apps and tech-based tools that offer deeper understanding of the unique landscapes and animals on the Central Coast.

On Tuesday evening, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., naturalist David Kisner will provide an overview of nature app iNaturalist in the native garden outside of the Natural History Museum of Santa Maria , as part of the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County's Discover Outside event series.

The weeklong event, sponsored by the Land Trust, offers multiple hikes, presentations and community celebrations throughout Santa Barbara County. The week will cultimate with Family Fest at Arroyo Hondo Preserve on Saturday, Aug. 16.
