NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KTIV) - Many Siouxland families were in attendance for the annual Adams Homestead celebration in North Sioux City, Saturday Aug. 9.
Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve is celebrating 28 years since it officially opened as a state park.
The event gave families the opportunity to step back in time and participate in many hands-on activities such as candle and rope making plus tin punching.
Park Manager, Jody Moats, says the homestead provides an enjoyable learning experience.
“This event has grown every year. We’ve seen a lot of people have come back every year, new faces. It’s just great for all ages, if you’re a toddler all the way up to 99 years old, it’s just a fun event for everybody.” said Moats.
The event also included a homemade pie contest and KTIV Meteo
