CLEVELAND, Ohio – We sipped eight wines from multiple places around the world, with prices ranging from $12 to $25.
Our global tour this month took us to Sicily, plus we sipped a couple from France, tried a pair of Rosés from New York’s Finger Lakes and had some West Coast wines.
Note: Our monthly reviews focus on wines $25 and under. All should be available on local store shelves. We list flavors we detect, then offer our favorite at the end.
2 Dr. Frank Rosés
Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery , Hammondsport, New York (Finger Lakes)
We tried two very different 2024 rosés from the venerable Finger Lakes winery, a longtime personal favorite:
Rosé: Light in color and body. Salmon-colored. Jolly Rancher watermelon taste precedes a dry finish - $16.99.
Rosé of Saperavi: Rich, dark red color.
