Bargain Hunt favourite Mark Stacey is a familiar face for antiques fans. As well as his long-standing slot on the BBC show, he has also regularly shared his expertise on Flog It!, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, and Antiques Road Trip over the years. But much of his life off the screen remains unknown. ‌

Mark became fascinated with antiques as a child, when he began collecting stamps and coins. This passion evolved over time, and he began to collect small silver items and artworks, which paved the way for his career in antiques trading. ‌

The 60-year-old joined the Bargain Hunt team back in 2002 after responding to an ad in the Antiques Trade Gazette. His screen test was a triumph, securing his long-time spot on the programme. ‌
