Regarding " 4 teens arrested after carjacking of St. Louis Uber driver, police chase " (Aug. 6): What can possibly be the reasoning behind releasing to their guardians four teens accused of carjacking a person at gunpoint ? Why would they not be kept in custody? They obviously are a danger to the public.

Is this part of the reason we continue to have public safety issues in the city?
