FRANKFORT, Ky. — The 127 Yard Sale , known as the “World’s Longest Yard Sale,” scaled across Kentucky and five other states this weekend.
In the event's 38th year, hundreds of Kentuckians participated in lots on or around Highway 127. One group used the high revenue opportunity to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients in the commonwealth.
As 690 miles of yard sales took place from Michigan to Alabama, members of the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority donated their personal items, with all proceeds supporting cancer research and assisting cancer patients in Kentucky.
