Realtor Greg Papalcure has a whole new understanding of the popularity of pickleball.

The agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach Realtors Manalapan office recently listed a home for sale in Millstone Township that had a lot going for it. It’s a well-kept, 3,000-square-foot colonial on a 2-acre lot with a heated in-ground pool, a pool house, and a regulation-size, lighted pickleball court.

“There are more pickleball players than I thought,” Papalcure said.

Pickleball has exploded in popularity over the past few years, being named the fastest growing sport in the United States by the Sports and Fitness Industry Association for four consecutive years, from 2021 until 2024.

And it was estimated in 2024 that there were 19.8 million pickleball players in the United States,
