Billy Joel’s ex-wife, Elizabeth Weber, insists that the singer isn’t responsible for her divorce from her first husband, Jon Small.

“I never thought of Bill as the homewrecker,” Weber told US Weekly on Friday, adding that she had to “tread carefully” because “Jon and I didn’t have a great romance.”

Weber had an affair with Joel, 76, during her marriage to Small, who was the “Piano Man” singer’s best friend and bandmate. The affair caused the band to break up and Joel to fall into a depression. 8
