HGVs could be banned from major A-roads. Central Bedfordshire Council has launched a proposed HGV weight restriction on a major road.

Stotfold residents may soon see a new weight limit imposed on Wrayfields. A second restriction come also take place in nearby Leighton Buzzard as local residents campaign to tighten existing lorry restrictions on Stanbridge Road.

Central Bedfordshire Council has proposed an HGV ‘ban’ in Stotfold to help improve road safety and protect the environment.

The proposed traffic regulation order would introduce a 7.5-tonne weight restriction on heavy goods vehicles using Wrayfields, Stotfold.
