OWEN COUNTY, Ky. —

A man has died after a shooting early Saturday morning in Owen County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers first received a call around 2 a.m. Saturday regarding a man who sustained gunshot wounds near the Monterey community. Advertisement

KSP says troopers and detectives responded to the scene and found Jamar Douglas, 26, unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds. He was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say Douglas, a native of Louisville, died at the hospital early Sunday morning.

Officials say 52-year-old Gary Bullion, of Ghent, Kentucky, has been charged in Douglas' death.
