A federal judge in Rhode Island on Friday blocked the Trump administration from conditioning the release of domestic violence prevention funds on compliance with President Donald Trump 's efforts to root out so-called "gender ideology."
In January, the 45th and 47th president issued Executive Order 14168 , entitled "Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government." Under the terms of the order, Trump directed agencies to "end" federal funding of, and "ensure grant funds do not promote gender ideology."
