With The Fantastic Four: First Steps recently having opened to solid reviews, Marvel's First Family has finally hit the big screen with the fanfare it deserves. It's been a rough road, with films so bad they have become the stuff of bootleg legend (the 1994 take produced by Roger Corman), or financial successes that were maligned by critics (the 2005 version, which isn't as bad as you remember). Wherever you stand, Reed Richards and his family haven't had much luck transitioning from comic books to live-action, and by the time 2015's Fantastic Four was released, their luck had essentially hit rock bottom.
