CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The lucky number was 13 for the Browns ' two highest-profile defensive rookies. At least for one preseason game.

Both defensive tackle Mason Graham and linebacker Carson Schwesinger played 13 defensive snaps each during Cleveland's 30-10 win Aug. 8 at the Carolina Panthers. Those numbers were par for the course for most of the Browns' front-line defensive players who played in the game.

"I know this, it wasn't perfect for any player out there, but I appreciate how those guys compete," coach Kevin Stefanski said after the game. "And those young players, that's the first time putting the uniform on, first time getting out there in some game action. They've both got a lot of reps in that Wednesday (joint) practice as well."
