While polls indicate that a majority of President Donald Trump's voters remain steadfast in their support, a notable portion is beginning to express regret over their 2024 vote.
In this context, a Facebook post by a self-identified MAGA voter went viral Saturday. She shared that, due to Trump's tariffs, she and her partner can no longer afford their imported medications. She began her post by expressing her frustration with Trump's ongoing tariff war, which has increased the prices of imported goods in the U.S.
She then detailed the cost of their medications in the U.S., which amounts to over $500 each, even with Medicare. Previously, they had been purchasing their medications from Canada or the U.K. to save money. However, this changed when the Canadian supplier allegedly raised prices by $80–$100 per month to offset Trump's tariffs.

She wrote, "I voted for Trump, I truly wish I had not... He not making America Great Again, but he sure is making it more expensive."
The post elicited a range of responses. Some defended Trump, with one commenter stating, "You can't blame the president for the high drug pricing."
Others criticized the original poster for her voting choice, with one user questioning, "If you cannot afford your medications, why would you vote for any Republican ever??? The Democratic platform has been lowered costs for healthcare FOR DECADES."
This incident highlights the growing discontent among some Trump voters, particularly regarding economic policies that directly affect their daily lives.

Earlier this week, NBC reported that a pro-Trump couple detained by Border Patrol in San Diego County said they believed agents did not have reasonable suspicion to stop them at all. They recorded the interaction and alleged they were racially profiled and pulled over by an unmarked vehicle as they were scoping out campsites on their way to the dentist.
After this incident, the couple said they regretted voting for Trump.
