The Atlanta Braves have claimed right-hander Connor Seabold off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays. Domingo González was designated for assignment to make room on the Braves 40-man roster.

Seabold appeared in three games for the Rays this season with the bulk of his major league experience coming in 2023 with the Colorado Rockies. The 29-year-old debuted with the Boston Red Sox in 2021.

He’s not been great during his 36 career games – 27 of which were with the Rockies. A former third round pick by the Phillies, Seabold will get a look by Atlanta. He has an ERA north of 7 with an xFIP of 5.63 across 115.1 career innings. He’s stuck out 16.6-percent of the batters he has faced during that time.
