A golf cart crash in Clifton sent three people to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
Crews responded to an area near 220 Hopkins Pond Road around 3:30 p.m, where a golf cart carrying six people had crashed. No other vehicles were involved, according to the Eddington Fire Department.
“We were dispatched to a report of an accident involving a golf cart. That’s a private camp dirt road. We arrived and found multiple patients,” Deputy Chief Craig Russell said.
Three people were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered serious, while the other three individuals were not in need of transport.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
