The Texas Rangers scored two runs but the Philadelphia Phillies scored four runs.
The Rangers scored a pathetic five runs in this series. Four of those runs came in the first inning with one run each on Friday and Saturday’s first frame and two in today’s contest. The only other run for Texas in any of the other 24 innings was Corey Seager’s solo home run last night.
Today the scoring came via a Joc Pederson two-run home run which gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead against sensational Phillies starter Zack Wheeler. And then…more of nothing for the rest of the day allowing the Phillies to methodically come back and eventually double up Texas’ output.
I guess at least it wasn’t failing to deliver with runners in scoring position this time like in each of the games this week (entire season?) as i
