GREENVILLE, N.C. —

Dreams of a Little League Softball World Series title came to an end for the Floyds Knobs softball team Sunday.

The team faced the Pennsylvania team from Johnstown in the six inning title match after a rain delay started the game at 4 p.m.

It went scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when Pennsylvania struck first, putting a run on the board off a single.

Strong pitching and defense contributed to a low scoring affair as the Floyds Knobs team struggled to get on the board.

The final score ended up at 1-0.

Floyds Knobs can return with heads held high following their impressive run through the tournament to the World Series and all the way to its final match.
