LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A man riding a bicycle was killed in a hit-and-run in east Louisville, sparking concerns among neighbors about safety in the area.

The collision occurred at Chamberlain Lane and Chamberlain Court, an intersection residents describe as poorly lit and dangerous.

Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the incident around 9:45 p.m. on Monday. The victim later died at the hospital.

The driver left the scene, leaving neighbors shocked but not surprised.

Krystal Breaux, who lives near the intersection, said the area’s lack of lighting and speeding drivers create a perilous environment.
