REDDING, Calif. - Model train enthusiasts from around northern California will be gathering for the Redding Model Train Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Win-River Resort & Casino.

Officials say the event aims to bring the joy and fun of model railroading to railroad enthusiasts and model railroaders.

The show will feature intricate operating layouts crafted by advanced modelers, with multiple trains running through realistic scenery and landscapes. Visitors can also explore a vendor section where they can start or expand their model train collection.

Attendees will have a chance to win prizes during the show.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Ticket prices are $7 for those age 13 and up, $5 for those between the ages of 5 and 12, and
