RED BLUFF, Calif. -- The Red Bluff Marshalls store was where the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians held their 21st annual Back-to-School Project "Great Shopping Day" event.
131 Tehama County students from kindergarten through 12th grade were able to shop for brand-new clothing and also received some essential resources for starting the new school year confident and prepared.
In addition to the clothing, each student was given a backpack filled with school supplies and coupons for free haircuts -- and even for sports physicals -- all to meet the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation's goals of ensuring students are ready for school academically, socially and physically.
