ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - On the sidewalk outside the CDC in Atlanta, there are frightened employees and a growing memorial of flowers for fallen officer David Rose.

Joe Abrams and his wife work at the CDC on Clifton Road. They visited the scene of Friday’s chaos to show solidarity for their coworkers.

“Our hope is that this is just one crazy person and that there won’t be any additional threats,” Abrams said. “We’re not going to let this kind of thing shake us. We’re not going to let this stop us from doing whatever we can to serve the people of the United States.”

Abrams said he and his wife had left work just 10 minutes before the shooter fired bullets into CDC windows.
