BRANDON, S.D. (KELO) -- The second round of the Class 'B' amateur baseball state tournament began as Alexandria defeated Parkston 6-5 on Bradley Dean's walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth Sunday.

The Mudcats scored three in the first inning and added one more in each of the third and fifth. The Angels scored three in the sixth to get on the board. They pushed two more across in the eighth to tie it at 5 and to set the stage for Dean.

Alexandria will now play on Thursday in the quarterfinals.
