Noted actor Christine Baranski at a press conference Thursday held at the Museum Café at The Elms Carriage House just ahead of a special edition of the annual John G. Winslow Lecture. Baranski, who stars as Agnes van Rhijn in the HBO series “The Gilded Age,” earned an Emmy nomination for her current role in the show which is being filmed partly in the Newport Mansions, including The Elms.
