Mitch Jagoe, Director of Chico Oaks Youth Rugby, was the speaker at the Aug. 5 meeting of the Chico Noon Exchange Club. Chico Oaks is a nonprofit organization bringing rugby into the lives of many in Chico. Rugby can change the lives of youth, and Chico Oaks is family! Jagoe gave updates on Chico Oaks since his last presentation at Exchange. He was accompanied by two of his rugby players, Luis Alvarez and Liam Blair, and they shared their rugby experiences and how this sport has changed their lives. Jesse Blair, a coach and Liam’s dad, also attended and gave remarks on his active involvement in Chico Oaks. A $1,000 check was presented to Jagoe by Debra Humes as a donation from the Chico Brewfest proceeds. The Chico Noon Exchange Club meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Canyon Oaks. Additi
