After recovering from a shoulder injury, John Brown joined Crvena Zvezda midway through last season but parted ways with the club after it ended.

As reported by Olgun Uluc of ESPN , the experienced American forward is set to continue his career in Australia, having agreed to a one-year deal with the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Brown started his professional career in Europe with Virtus Roma, then played for Treviso and Brindisi in Italy before joining UNICS Kazan in 2020.

He later had another brief stint in Italy with Brescia and signed for Monaco in 2022, winning the French league twice.

The 2022 EuroLeague steals leader averaged four points and 2.6 rebounds with Crvena Zvezda last season and is now set to embark on a new journey in Australia.
