LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An overnight shooting in Lexington has now been deemed a homicide by the Lexington Police Department.
The Lexington Police Department says they were called to Bryan Station Road, near Kroger, just before midnight on Sunday for the shooting.
When they arrived, they found a man had been shot and he was taken to UK Hospital for his injuries.
Police announced around 7:45 a.m. Monday, the man died in the hospital.
The alleged shooter has now been identified as Keaira Pennie, who is accused of murder as a result of the shooting. She is in custody at the Fayette County Detention Center.
The victim has not been identified.
