INDIAN HILL, Ohio (WXIX) - A 49-year-old man is accused of stealing thousands in checks and cash intended to be wedding gifts, court records show.
John Hollander of Mount Orab is under arrest on six felony counts of theft.
Indian Hill Rangers allege it happened on Saturday, according to several criminal complaints filed in the case.
The checks were each made out for $200 or $300, the court filings show.
The rangers also allege Hollander stole a cash gift of $2,951 that was intended for the family, the court filings show.
He was booked into the Hamilton County jail by 5:30 a.m. Sunday and was held overnight without bond.
Hollander is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case at 9 a.m. Monday.
