A mum has shared a poignant plea with fellow parents after her daughter was left to blow out her birthday candles alone. She recounted the disheartening experience of no one turning up for her daughter's seventh birthday party, despite having received several RSVPs confirming attendance.
On Reddit, the distressed mother highlighted the significance of honouring commitments when you RSVP to a child's birthday bash - or at the very least, offering an apology if unforeseen circumstances prevent your child from going. She expressed her frustration: "I just want to vent about how c****py people are. So Saturday we threw our daughter a seventh birthday party."
She lamented the fact that "She has multiple friends RSVP to come. Day of nobody showed up or even gave a heads up they weren't coming.
