An AI chatbot on Donald Trump’s social media platform has been found to consistently contradict the US president, including by claiming he proliferates “baseless claims” about election fraud.
Truth Social, which Mr Trump started after he was kicked off Twitter, now X, rolled out the AI search engine last week to rival Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot and Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta AI.
But the chatbot contradicts Mr Trump by claiming that tariffs are a tax on Americans, the 2020 election wasn’t stolen, and his family’s crypto investments pose a conflict of interest.
It also said riots at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 , were an “insurrection” linked to the president’s “baseless claims of widespread election fraud”.
