The record rainfall, which occurred on Aug. 9 into Aug. 10, produced the floods that led to widespread power outages, submerged cars, water rescues, and massive property damage.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers tapped National Guard troops to support Milwaukee County's response to the floods.

"We are continuing to monitor flooding, especially as several counties continue to remain under flash flood warnings," Evers said in a statement on Aug. 10.
